Fairytale Christmas Cake
A fairy hello, it’s Aileen from Fairytale Gardens, I would like to thank you all for your lovely feedback that we have received for our fairy gardens that we have done over the last few weeks. Christmas is coming and everyone is excited and looking for new ideas for Christmas cakes this year, so we have done an amazing Christmas cake for you with the Fairytale Garden’s touch. Here are the Steps:- making the cake: 6 eggs yolks1 ½. cups sugar1 ½. cups flour1 tsp. baking power½ tsp. salt6 tbsp. cold water1 tsp. lemon rind1 tsp. pure lemon juice6 egg whites½ tsp. cream of tartar Use extra-large eggs in this cake. You can use orange instead of lemon. Start by beating the 6 egg yolks in a small bowl until thick, once thick slowly add the 1 ½ cups of sugar and beat again until thick. Next alternate the 6 tbsp of water, 1 tsp lemon and the 1 ½ cups of shifted flour with the baking powder and salt added. Now beat the egg whites when foamy add the cream of tartar and beat until stiff, fold the egg yolk slowly into the white mixture. Pour your ingredients into an ungreased 10” high cake pan and bake on 180C for 60 minutes. (Cooks.com)
